LGBTQ+ Alumni Association
The LGBTQ+ Alumni Association is a Drake University community of graduates who identify as part of the LGBTQ+ community. The goal of this Association is to connect and engage LGBTQ+ Alumni and support current and prospective students, faculty, and administrators at Drake by advocating for and practicing inclusivity and empowerment.
Events & Opportunities
Look for LGBTQ+ Alumni Association events and opportunities throughout the year, such as a reunion during Relays and participation in the Capital City Pride Parade in Des Moines, and the annual Rainbow Welcome in the fall for incoming and current LGBTQ+ students and allies as well as faculty and staff. An advisory council of alums collaborates with Drake University to present events and foster connections within the community.
