Black Alumni Association
The Black Alumni Association is for all persons who have attended the University, who identify as Black, African, African American, Pan-Caribbean, and Multi-racial, but may not hold a degree from the University, are eligible for membership in the Association.
Primary Goals of the DUBAA

Facilitate professional and social networking of Black alumni, students, faculty, and staff through existing Alumni Relations and University-wide events; as well as through the creation of new programs that provide professional development and networking opportunities.

Support Drake University in the recruitment and retention of Black prospective, undergraduate and graduate students.

Support the interests of Drake University Black Student Organizations, including the Coalition of Black Students and the African & Caribbean Students Association, in the development of programs and networking opportunities.

Assist in the preservation of Black history on the Drake University campus, and in the recognition of Black alumni and student successes.

Champion engagement amongst Black alumni.
