Volunteer with Kansas City Alumni at Harvesters
Join Kansas City area alumni during DU Good Month as we volunteer at the Harvesters - The Community Food Network to help sort and repack food, which assists Harvesters in feeding more than 141,500 people each month.
When: Saturday, October 31, 10:30-12:30 pm CT
Where: Harvesters-Kansas City Facility 3801 Topping Avenue, Kansas City, MO 64129
PLEASE NOTE:
- All volunteers must be free of any contagious illness (runny nose, colds, the flu, strep throat, etc.)
- Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
- All volunteers are required to wear a mask while volunteering.
- All volunteers must sign a waiver prior to their volunteer shift.
- Volunteers must NOT have traveled outside of Kansas or Missouri in the last 14 days Close toe shoes and long pants (no shorts, skirts or dresses) are required.
- Dressing in layers and bringing a jacket is recommended, even during the summer.
- Please leave all valuable jewelry at home. This includes rings which may come off in the packing process.
- Parking is limited so please carpool. Visitor parking is available in front of the building and in an overflow lot across the street. If spots fill, please limit street parking to the east side (closest to the building). Please enter through the Volunteer Entrance (under the red awning).
- Road construction is taking place around the facility. Visit MODot for updates.
Individuals should consider the health risks before participating. Drake encourages mask wearing, social distancing, and other pandemic safety measures.
