2020 Alumni Relays Postponement Announcement
Drake University has postponed the 2020 Drake Relays presented by Xtream powered by Mediacom, along with related special events and programs, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The 111th edition of the event was scheduled for April 22–25 at Drake Stadium.
The postponement of the Drake Relays also impacts all alumni programming scheduled to take place in conjunction with the Relays. Here are the details:
- The 1960 and 1970 Class Reunions, Black Alumni Reunion, SJMC Centennial Celebration, and other affinity programming will be celebrated during Relays weekend 2021. All registered and paid participants for these events will be refunded. All registrants who reserved a hotel room in one of the reunion blocks should contact the hotel directly to cancel their reservation.

- For the 50/60 Class Reunion and SJMC Centennial Celebration contact Cathy Williams, assistant director of signature programs, at 515-271-2769 or cathy.williams@drake.edu.
- The 2020 National Alumni Awards, scheduled for Thursday, April 23, 2020, will be re-scheduled. We are working on a plan to appropriately honor these esteemed alumni in the future.
- There will be alumni programming for the rescheduled 2020 Drake Relays. More information will be shared when available.
