Without essential leadership training, a student's first experience leading others will be less effective and less enjoyable for everyone involved. That's why Drake provides them with training to help make the most of their leadership experiences. With our help, they will be prepared to make a positive impact on the communities, causes, and issues they care about.

Each fund listed below focus on helping students develop their leadership skills.

LEAD
Drake's minor in leadership education and development (LEAD) promotes an interdisciplinary journey that begins in the classroom and steers Bulldogs to discover their potential to create positive change on the global stage.

DVALI
The Donald V. Adams Leadership Institute has impacted the lives of many students since its inception in 2000. The Institute provides students personalized leadership training, co-curricular skill development, and career preparation to enhance their personal, academic, and professional lives.

Community Engagement and Service Learning
Drake's commitment to community engagement and service-learning is representative of our long-standing history of involvement and partnership with the Des Moines community. The committment fulfills our historic mission, and enhances teaching, advising, research, scholarship, outreach, and the University community as a whole.
