50 Year Reunion Memory Book

What makes the Digital Memory Book special?

A digital book offers many advantages when compared to printed books:

  • Submit any time until April 14, 2025. Edit your page any time up until April 14, 2025.
  • Post photos from your time at Drake.
  • The Alumni Office will share a final PDF version of the Memory Book for all alumni to download. There will also be options to print a physical book from the vendor, if interested.

Helpful tips:

  • Once you submit your page, you have the option to go back and edit your page. Even after your submission, your page is not public under the Office of Alumni publishes the final document.
  • If you do not complete your page in one sitting, be sure to open your submission link on the same laptop / desktop to continue where you left off.
  • You can always go back and add photos or edit information.
  • We encourage you to find and save photos from your time at Drake, as well as a current portrait of yourself for the submission process.
  • Share captions on your uploaded photos, so fellow alumni can learn more about what you have been up to since graduating from Drake.

  • How do I create my Memory Book page?

    Follow the Memory Book link above to our reunion questionnaire. Respond to the prompts, share a current portrait of yourself, and add additional photos from your time at Drake as well as your life since graduation.

  • What should I know before starting to create my memory book page?

  • What should I include in my Memory Book page?

    When you access your Memory Book page, you’ll see a number of questions and information that you can choose to add. These include several options for contact information, as well as a series of questions that give you the opportunity to speak to your experience at Drake University, how it has shaped your life, and any current updates you’d like to share.

  • Who can view my Memory Book page?

    During the collection process, memory book pages are not viewable to others. The Alumni Office will share a final PDF version of the digital memory book prior to the reunion.

  • How do I edit my page after I submit it?

    When you submit your page, you will receive an email from team@newlywords.com with the Subject Line “Your Contribution to Drake University – Class of 1975 – 50 Year Reunion”. This email provides you the option to return to your page to “edit contribution” if you so choose.

  • Does Newlywords have Spellcheck?

    It does not. We encourage you to re-read your responses before submitting to catch any errors or typos.

  • How many photographs can I upload to my page?

    You can upload one profile photo and up to as many photos as you can fit, within the 3-page maximum (jpg, tiff and png files).

    NOTE: The first and last name you entered for your page will appear immediately above your profile photo. Captions entered for the additional photos will display immediately underneath those photos.

  • When is the Memory Book deadline?

    The book will stop accepting new pages or editing of existing pages on April 14, 2025. This will allow us to share a final version of the digital memory book prior to the Class of 1975 - 50 Year Reunion.

  • Can I submit my page via postal mail or email?

    Alumni who have trouble submitting their pages online may contact us at courtney.conrad@drake.edu.

  • What is Newlywords?

    Newlywords a third-party vendor that provides the online platform for your digital memory book.
