You're invited to a brunch celebrating the Drake Women's Connection. Join other Minneapolis-Saint Paul women as we strengthen our connection to Drake University and to each other.

Venessa Macro, LW’92, will lead us in a dynamic discussion on "juggling it all"—how women strive to balance the varied demands of their fast-paced lives. 

In May of 2001, Macro was named Director, Human Resources at Drake University, where she helped launch a comprehensive compensation project, performance management process and staff learning and development program.  

In September, 2009, Macro was named Assistant Vice President for Business and Finance. Ms. Macro also serves on the Board of Directors for Character Counts in Iowa. She has served as a 4-H leader in Polk County for four years. 

Prior to her role at Drake, Macro represented large employers as a lawyer in Washington, D.C., and served on the legal staff of Meredith Corporation in Des Moines. 

She and her husband, Jesse, live in Des Moines with their two daughters.
